Why isn't my VPS available right away?

If you've just ordered your VPS and received the welcome email, you may be wondering why you cannot immediately connect to your server. In order to efficiently provision servers, tasks tasks are queued up and then dispatched as to not overwhelm our backend.

It can take up to 10 minutes for a new server to be provisioned or to have an operating system reinstalled.
